Think all grounding is the same? Think again. There’s a MAJOR difference between feeling grounded and being grounded. Surprisingly, this has come up for us in recent conversations, and we wanted to clarify so we’re all on the same page.
Being grounded refers to when people directly connect their bodies with the Earth and use its natural electric charges to stabilize them. It’s all about the physical benefits of grounding your energy—a.k.a. what we’re doing here at Earthing Canada!
Feeling grounded, on the other hand, refers to the feeling people get when they’re genuinely centred and present in their lives. While this is just as important as being grounded, it’s worth noting how they differ in knowing where to turn when you need grounding.
There are countless ways to feel grounded, but here’s a few:
- Meditation
- Yoga
- Exercise
- Gratitude
Here are some of our favourite ways to be grounded:
- Going barefoot in nature
- Sleeping on our grounding sheet
- Swimming in lakes, rivers and oceans
- Using our Universal Grounding Mat
