Meet Brit Kelly, our Co-Owner & Director of Operations! Brit helps run the show around here, not to mention starring in many of our reels! We asked her a handful of questions so you can get to know her more.
What drew you to Earthing?
I’ve always been open-minded and up for trying new techniques to support my health, and when we found Earthing, it quickly became our foundation. It just made sense—of course, it’s possible that bodies need to connect to Earth to feel incredible.
How do you spend your time outside of work?
Well, I’m also a certified holistic nutritionist and a homeschool mama, so outside of Earthing, a lot of me revolves around my kiddos right now. I wouldn’t have it any other way! We try to get outside as much as we can.
What does your Earthing practice look like? Do you have a favourite Earthing Canada product?
My number one rule is being barefoot as much as possible. Easy in the summer, not so much in the winter. That’s why, year-round, I sleep grounded on the Earthing mattress cover. Apart from that, I love to use the Earthing patches on problem areas, like my knee, when it acts up.
If you could ground anywhere in the world, where would you go?
The ocean is my favourite way to ground — nothing beats it! In the summer, we enjoy our visits to the Canadian West Coast, and to get us through the long winters, we try to travel south for some sun grounding in the ocean.
But being able to ground at home with my family on our grounding mats is just as good, even better sometimes.
Where is your favourite outdoor spot, and why is it your favourite?
Being near most bodies of water calms me, while the mountains inspire and motivate me. So it depends on what I need at the moment, but often, we don’t have to compromise because we have both the Rockies and dozens of refreshing lakes on our doorstep.
What is your wellness mantra?
I don’t have just one – ha – some mantras/affirmations I say daily:
“Everything I need is within me.”
“Today, above all else, I choose love.”
“I am centred and at peace.”
